The goal for this project was to design a book jacket that conveyed complex meaning through visual metaphor. The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt touches on many themes: sudden loss, the influence of pleasure within art, and the impact of personal trauma. In my design, I wanted to convey and contrast this duality of beauty with pain.
